Family House in Melnik (2009-2012) by Stutek Architects.

Great house design. I love the window details that alternate between the facades. Very simple, robust and clean.

And I was upset at Herzog and de Meuron after the CaixaForum Madrid.

“The former facade is left orphaned from the rest of the built environment, large metal pins carefully holding it at arm’s length from the new building. Its windows are not only blank and empty, but out of kilter with those added behind.”

I was always wondering why I did not like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as much as Once Upon A Time in the West and Duck, You Sucker (A Fistful of Dynamite). Anyhow, I just ordered Alex Cox’s book 10,000 Ways to Die. I am excited to read it.
